The Aquarian Man – Awakening by Devajeet Kaur

What does it mean to be an Aquarian Man?

Yogi Bhajan taught that an Aquarian man is “A man who is strong, kind, open-hearted, conscious of his word, and committed to his higher self.” He embodies “I know who I am, I define myself in my relationship to the universe and God.”

I’ve come to know many great role models of masculinity in the yogic community, my teacher Kirpal Singh of Ik Saran Dhian, shared with me that the masculine is associated with the fire and earth elements. The male energy is stable, it provides the container. He is a protector, however out of balance this can become controlling. When the Aquarian man’s qualities are balanced, he carries the seed, and he does it with dignity and values, not only the biological but also the spiritual seed.

Chatting to another man as I write this blog, he suggested that currently, men are in recovery, and moving forward its important for men and women to live harmoniously in community, loving and helping each other.

Kirpal Singh recommends that to support the relationship between man and woman singing together is essential because singing creates sound and communication. You may not be able to communicate certain things, but through singing work through it. .

Hari Karam Singh teaches Man to Man workshops at Joy Yoga London, he shared with me that:-

“An Aquarian Man should relate to a woman not as a boy or as a player or as an apology but from his noble, courageous, and totally straight masculinity. He should relate to a woman as the seed does to the soil of the Earth. With her the whole fruition of his life is possible from concept to mighty oak tree. But if the soil has not been properly nurtured or if you plant the seed too shallow or too deep then nothing shall arise for you. He should understand that the woman is the moon that reflects his subconscious mind. As he directs towards her so does he to himself, amplified 16 times! Be straight and clear with yourself first. When approached intelligently that relationship holds vast potential for spiritual growth, dignity, and for fulfilling the deepest desires of his mind, body and soul.”

Yogi Bhajan wrote a book Man to Man. It advises in the Teacher Training manual men should practice meditations that work on the arcline and yoga and meditations which activate the pituitary gland, balance the right and left hemispheres of the brain and strengthens the nervous system. Some suggestions are Archer pose and Wahe Guru meditation.

AQUARIAN KUNDALINI YOGA TEACHER TRAINING L1 NE – IK SARAN DHIAN 💗

At the end of 2018 we started the first Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Northeast England.  And my, what a journey it has been. A number of my gorgeous students, who loved Kundalini Yoga decided to take their practice to the next level, and go deeper into the teachings. Yogic training isnt easy, but my God it is worth it.

My heart is wide open. To be part of this journey with such amazing people, and having the opportunity to mentor souls on their path is a true blessing from God. I’ve observed so much courage, joy, perseverance, emotion, grace, this week.

Spirit is truly awakened and more souls embark on their path to hukam into the divine and share their divine light.

I’m blessed to organise the Kundalni Yoga Teacher Training in Northeast England. This practice is so amazing and can change lives, and with the amount of depression, anxiety, illness, etc etc our community needs tools and practices that will help people to stay balanced and deal with lifes challenges. Kundalini Yoga uses ancient technology and philosophy which developed from the ancient Yogi’s, Yogi Bhajan made it more accessible to the ‘householder’ and brought it to the west.

If you want to heal yourself, your family your community. Consider emarking on this journey with us….next training begins April 2020.
