Winter Solstice is upon us

Winter Solstice is upon us, we welcome the shortest day of the year. Solstice, meaning ‘sun standing still’ in Latin (how beautiful is that is an astronomical event which our ancestors have celebrated for centuries, honoring the Goddess Moon energy.

Physically, emotionally, mentally, this is the perfect time for us to reboot, and reset. This period offers us the opportunity to close our eyes, and go deep inside of ourselves, for some this is too much. But know the darkness and the light is within all beings, we all need to learn how to dance with the polarities within us, and the light of divine consciousness flickers within you.

Give yourself time to reflect on who you are, where you have come from, and where you are going, have you achieved your intentions for the year? and what energy do you wish to attract in the coming year, what are you ready to let go of?

In addition, this time invites you to just ‘be’, be quiet, be still, be present. Relax and enjoy watching the snowflakes fall, the song of the birds, the feel of the crisp air against your skin.

Be with yourself, your beautiful self, which God created just perfect, and that is something to celebrate, become alive in the higest realms of your being!

“Winter is Not Cold” poem by Yogi Bhajan.

Winter is not cold.
Not if you are bold.
Come and experience spirituality.
This is the period for planning your prosperity.
You’ve been dealing with this surge.
Now you need the courage
To enter reality.
Don’t miss it.
Kiss it.
It is a great opportunity.
It is our family union and spiritual communion.
Come you all, bring the children by.
Bring them out of the cold and clouds
To enjoy the sunny sky.
I shall see you there.
We’ll make it a beautiful family fair!
Please come and bring the young ones.
This is where the future begins.
Let us meet heart to heart so the family can sing the glory of God.
And experience ecstasy, reality, infinity, and future prosperity.

Blessings to all you beautiful souls, enjoy your holidays, be happy, be present
Much love Devajeet x
